VolleyFly (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a web-based volleyball information system that allows users to create seasons, manage teams, record match data, scout events, and generate reports. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share personal information.

1.1 Information You Provide

Account information: Email, name, password (hashed).
Team & player data: Names, positions, jersey numbers, stats you manually enter.
Match & scouting data: All volleyball events you record.
Uploads: Team logos, sponsor logos, and other files you provide.
Support requests: Any information sent through support channels.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

IP address, browser type, device info, operating system.
Usage logs and analytics.
Cookies for login sessions and preferences.

1.3 Third-Party Login (OAuth)

If you use Google, Facebook, or Apple login, we receive your name, email, and profile photo (if available). We do not receive your password.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, improve, and maintain the VolleyFly service.
To authenticate users and manage accounts.
To store and sync your data across devices.
To generate reports, stats, and visualizations.
To send service-related notifications.
To secure the platform and monitor misuse.

We never sell your personal data.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure (Heroku + managed PostgreSQL). Communication between you and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed.

We may share limited data with trusted third parties (e.g., hosting, analytics, email providers) solely to operate the service.

4.2 Intentional Sharing

If you choose to share reports, team data, or exports, others may see that information.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. After deletion, we remove personal data within 30–90 days, except where law requires longer retention (e.g., backups).

VolleyFly is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard protections including encryption, hashed passwords, access controls, and secure hosting. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be stored or processed outside your country. We use reputable providers that maintain strong compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001).
